Transit Tidbits #7

Here’s the latest observations whilst travelling by bus:

March 23 – Saw graffiti on the bus with the letters JKP recently. Immediately thought of my sis and bro in law whose names start JKP but it misses the D at the end of their name which would be JKPD. I will be seeing them in a few weeks for a party 🙂

Sister responded in texting: That’s funny. Just try to get John to take the bus!

March 24 – 1:51pm: Got on quietest bus ever then, boom! Tons of high school students descended on the bus filling it with shouts and laughter.

Response from a friend: Spring Break!
From a sister: I hate being on the bus with high school students after school. In the morning they’re nice and quiet, but after school they are just awful.
From another friend: Middle school is worse. You yell, not talk 😜. All seeking attention

March 27 – Ha! Several years back, we lived for a few months in a rental house that had an overabundance of spiders coming in. It was in the Fall when more spiders tend to be around. Getting rid of all those spiders helped me overcome somewhat my fear of spiders, and instead become a ‘calculated killer’; they are not my favorite creature! 🙂 Now, my son is different. He is truly a compassionate person. He can scoop up a spider in his hand, and deposit it outside!

March 29 – Love this passage from Matthew 8:27 after Jesus calms the storm while they were in a boat on the sea, “And the men marveled, saying, ‘What sort of man is this, that even the winds and sea obey him?'”

March 30, 4:59pm – One of my sisters sent to all five siblings an article about a big earthquake predicted to hit Pacific Northwest sometime in future and another sister replied, “Oh good, I was running low on things to worry about” Such a sense of humor! 🙂

Replies to post from a friend: He-he-he
Another friend opines: Think about. Anywhere you can be has a potential disaster to happen.
Sister who sent the article: Har Har

March 31 6:05am – Happy Friday everybody and the weather looks to be up to 60 degrees, a nice bonus for the day! 🙂

March 31 7:02am – Two young men and mom got on bus. One young man was agitated and dancing in the road. The mom asked me for “ibuprofen for a tooth ache”. Happy to help with ibuprofen but the agitation looked more like a drug user than a tooth ache, just saying

Replies from a friend: I love reading your daily bus ride trips 😊
Another friend: Me too

March 31, 5:00pm – Three women on back of bus with an empty seat near them. Pink sweater gal pumping tan coat gal for info on other people they both know, sympathetic glances all around. “I adore him!” While the men back here with me are trying to read. Other guys standing in aisle are opting not to take the empty seat. I think I know why
